IIFA Awards 2013 : Dance, Drama And Awards

IIFAThe most awaited accolade of the film fraternity – IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) Awards ceremony, was recently celebrated 14th award night in Macau and the glorious occasion was celebrated from 4th july 2013 – 6th july 2013. But the excitement was palpable on the last night of the celebration when all scintillating stars of our B’town walked on the green carpet to celebrate and honor the best talent of the year 2012.

IIFA, also touted as Oscars for Indian film industry, everybody in the industry have a wish to win at least one IIFA award in their career, it has concoct a special place in heart of both the glittering stars of bollywood and the audience as the audience also have enthusiasm for this distinct film awards.

The grandiose night was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor who set the audience on the fun ride with their one liners and punches but the main entertainers were the winners who generated lots of laughter at the time giving their acceptance speech and scorching performance was given by bigwigs of B’town. Dancing diva of bollywood, ‘Madhuri Dixit’ performed amazingly on her latest item number ‘ Ghaghra’, for the first time Sridevi performed with Prabhu Deva and set  the audience in tizzy, Sridevi was also nominated for the category of best actress for her movie English Vinglish and many other performances by Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Parineeti Chopra, Ayushman Khurana, Sushant Singh and so forth also drizzled the stage.

The Bachchan’s have a long ally with IIFA awards but skipped the event this year only Abhishek Bachchan was there who Best Actor In Comic Role award.

  • Best Actor In Comic Role – Abhishek Bachchan (Bol Bachchan)
  • Best Actor In Negative Role – Rishi Kapoor (Agneepath)
  • Best Music Director – Pritam (Barfi)
  • Best Lyrics – Amitabh Bhattacharya (for ‘Abhi Mujhme’ from Agneepath)
  • Best Singer (Male) – Sonu Nigam (for ‘Abhi Mujhme’ from Agneepath)
  • Best Singer (Female) – Shreya Ghoshal (for ‘Chikni chameli’ from Agneepath)
